Privilege Posters

We will make a giant list of all the various ways people can be privileged – especially the ways we find confusing or unclear (or that we previously found confusing). Examples: race, gender, class, education, sexuality, etc. Specifically, let’s think of how privilege intersects with figure drawing.

Then, everyone will select a type of privilege to make an informational poster.  The poster must contain:

  1. A definition of privilege
  2. An explanation/example of this specific kind of privilege
  3. An illustration that includes figures

Think of making the poster as easily understood as possible. Use the internet to research anything you are unsure about. Ask questions. We’re trying to clarify these terms for the general public. We will hang our posters in the hallways.
