We’re going to do a couple drawings on our 18″x24″ white drawing paper with charcoal and black marker (sharpies, microns, prisma – whatever you have). We’re also going to use some gesso (white paint), which I will provide. However, I don’t have enough brushes for everyone, so if you have a brush left over from 2D Design (or other classes), please bring that – the larger the better.

We’ll look at ideas of masking and erasure, overlapping and repetition, smearing and obscuring, veiling and revealing.
