– Presentation on Components of an Artwork (Subject/Form/Content/Context)
– Discuss DSLR and audio recorder skills tests
– Everyone will be assigned an artist from Ch 1. [Mario Scaparro, Fedele Azari, Fortunato Depero, Francesco Cangiullo, Valentine de Saint-Point, Giacomo Balla, Luigi Russolo, Carlo Carra, Alfred Jarry, Tommaso Marinetti]

DAY 2 – Wed, Aug 21
IN CLASS:
– Discuss Ch 1
– talk about possible partnership with the Feminist Theory class on our final project
– Presentation on elements/principles of design carried over from 2/3D design
– Practice with DSLRs and audio recorders (in-class participatory demonstrations)
– introduce Difficult Task Performance assignment – do brainstorming activity in class

– Read Chapter 2 of “Performance Art: From Futurism to the Present” and complete quiz on Angel
– Prepare brainstorming/research for Difficult Task Performance. We will present this in class

Tags: sex, culture, socialization, bodies, clothes/fashion, marriage/family, prejudice/discrimination, social construction, social structure, sexual orientation, gender, public opinion, politics. We’ll share the articles and do a brainstorming exercise.
