A little known and poorly documented stone labyrinth in the village of Sitimani, India is known as Lakshmana-mandal and was c.20 metres in diameter.
The original village of Sitimani, and the Lakshmana-mandal labyrinth, is now submerged beneath the Almatti Dam, completed and flooded in 1996. After consulting with a village priest who had walked the labyrinth, he shared that the local tradition was that Rama and Sita had built it when they passed through the area, thousands of years ago (unconfirmed).
