READING REPORTS:

Grades for blog posts of reading reports will follow these criteria:

GRADE SHEET:
Title “Reading Report – Section Title” Example – “Reading Report – Sighting and the Use of a Sighting Stick”	1pt
Body text of blog post (enter your summary as directed on the Reading Report assignment page)	5pt
Dimensions of images At least 800px tall/wide when I save your image file and view it on my computer	1pt
Image quality (sharpness, relevancy) 5 Good supplementary images (can be from the internet or scanned out of books, but nothing should be smaller than 300 X 300px)	3pt

 

HOMEWORK DRAWING PHOTOS:

Grades for blog posts of homework images will follow these criteria:

GRADE SHEET:
Title the title should be as follows: “Homework #___ – First & Last Name” (for example – “Homework #3 – Ellen Mueller”)	1pt
Body text of blog post the text should consist of exactly this: “(Title), (Your Name), (media), (dimensions), (Date)”. Example: “The Broken Window, Ellen Mueller, graphite, 18″x24″, 2/26/2010” Repeat the process for however many images you need to upload (some homework projects are a single drawing, while others are multiple drawings).	1pt
Dimensions of image At least 800px tall/wide when I save your image file and view it on my computer	1pt
Lighting	1pt
Color correction	1pt
Image sharpness	1pt
Orientation and cropping	1pt
Submitted on time	1pt

How to Post to the blog:

1.  I have added your WVWC email address as an author on the blog. You must accept that invitation on your WVWC email account in order to participate (get your grade).

2.  Click the acceptance link in the invitation and follow the directions for creating a blogger account.

3.  Once you are signed into blogger, you will see information about the blog like this:

4.  Click on the orange pencil button.

5.  You will arrive at a page that looks like this:

6.  Enter a post title like this:  “Homework #___ – First & Last Name” (for example – “Homework #3 – Ellen Mueller”)

7.  Click the “Insert Image” button.

8.  Then, click the “Choose Files” button to find the image of your drawing on your computer.

9.  After adding the selected image, type the caption below the image like this: “(Title), (Your Name), (media), (dimensions), (Date)”.  Example: “The Broken Window, Ellen Mueller, graphite, 18″x24″, 2/26/2010”

10.  Finally, click the “Publish” button to finish your blog post.
