04. Ordering Cards

///////// ORDERING BUSINESS CARDS

  1. Once we have selected our card design, we will need to prep our files for print and place an order.
  2. Start by deciding what printing option you will be choosing. The company who is printing your cards will likely have different specifications as to how your card needs to be laid out, including how large your bleeds need to be around any images that run off the edges of the cards.
  3. Once you have decided on your printer, then you will need to make an order of business cards. The number is up to you, but you will likely want to set them out at your exhibition in May and hand them out to friends and family. I will suggest 100 cards, but again, it is your call.
  4. NOTE: You can make a bulk order of business cards, which will cut down on personal shipping costs. (For example, instead of $15 for shipping, you will likely only pay $3–$4.) If you would like to be a part of that order, PLAN FOR IT 🙂 If you do not purchase cards as part of a group order, it will be entirely up to you to get your cards printed on your own. If you DO order cards as part of the bulk order, you will need to have a check or cash for the correct amount (calculated after the order is complete) to pick up your cards when they arrive.
  5. See calendar for due date. I will not offer extensions on this assignment, so make sure your cards will be completed and delivered BEFORE the due date to ensure that you will receive points.
