*WEEK 1* DAY 1 – Tue, Jan 14

– discuss daily sketching activity (remind everyone to put some sketching tools in their locker)
– discuss the Cleveland field trip (all day Apr 5)
– prep surfaces for reflected light paintings – Discuss Mural Project

DUE NEXT CLASS SESSION:
– Students must email clients to arrange a meeting (if possible) to discuss the mural project and establish guidelines (subject matter, exact space, color[s], etc). CC Ellen on these emails. They must be sent by 1 hour before the start of next class.

DAY 2 – Thur, Jan 16

– reminder to be ready to paint at the start of class next time (we only have 2 hours with the model)
– David Hockney Video (discuss relationship of privilege to this big step forward [pop art] in painting)
– discuss the Selfie Assignments – begin the primary colors and reflected light exercise
