EX05: Mood Cue

Putting together your Servo Motor:

1. You will have to break 3 male header pins off the long strip that came with your kit. You will have to press the black plastic part to be approximately halfway down the pins before putting it on the female connector of the servo motor.

2. The long white arm for the servo motor just snaps onto the white peg on the motor (no screws necessary).

Help for Step 2:

1. The illustration for the placement of the potentiometer can be confusing. It will not fit entirely on the left side of the breadboard as pictured. Instead, put the 2-pronged side in (16, d) and (18,d), and put the 1-pronged in (17,f).

2. The illustration for the placement of the yellow wire (connecting the 1-pronged side of the potentiometer to analog pin 0) looks like it should be on the left side of the breadboard, but due to the way the potentiometer now straddles both sides of the board with the 1-pronged side on the right, your yellow wire (or whatever color you choose it to be) must also be on the right side of the board.

Everyone will also be required to change their ‘mood cue’ into an original artwork using the same technology. For example:
