TEXTBOOK:

Themes of Contemporary Art: Visual Art after 1980 3rd Edition
(there is a 4th edition out, but we’re using the 3rd edition because it’s less expensive)

by Jean Robertson & Craig McDaniel
ISBN-13: 978-0199797073
ISBN-10: 0199797072

It’s fine to buy a used copy or an ebook copy – do whatever is cheapest/most accessible for you. As long as you can bring the book to class with you (either a physical copy or on a laptop/tablet), you’ll be good to go. We’ll start using the book in a few weeks (don’t worry if you can’t get it in time for the first class session).

If you’d like to simply order the supplies, I have created a handy list on Blick, however, you can also buy the items individually if you can find them cheaper elsewhere, or if you already own some of the supplies. Also, if you’re purchasing some of these same supplies for your other classes, feel free to use them in this class instead of purchasing duplicates.
