SB05. Color Wheels

You will create 2 color wheels. Each one will fill a single page of your sketchbook.

On one color wheel, you will use your colored pencils to make a 12-color color-wheel.  You can make the colors any shape you like (here we see wedges and pie-shaped pieces).  Label all the colors outside of the shapes (like on the second color wheel pictured here).  Do not write on top of your color shapes.  It may be helpful to reference these tips for using colored pencils if you’ve never worked with them before.

You will do the same thing on your second color wheel, except you will use your chalk pastels to complete it. Again, you can use any shapes you like – you are not committed to repeating the shapes from the first color wheel. It may be helpful to reference these tips for using chalk pastels if you’ve never worked with them before.

Practice blending on a different sheet of paper before executing the colors on your color wheels. Be sure to spray seal both color wheels immediately after completing them to prevent smudging. Craft is the main factor in grading this assignment.
